Banque Bemo Saudi Fransi (BBSF), a bank operating in Syria, recently declared to the Syrian Commission of Financial Markets and Securities (SCFMS) that Banque Bemo S.A.L. has acquired 10 million outstanding shares in the capital of BBSF on August 11, 2025 through the Damascus Securities Exchange, increasing as such its equity stake in BBSF to 27%. It is worth noting that prior to the transaction, Banque Bemo S.A.L.’s stake in BBSF was 22% while that of Banque Saudi Fransi stood at 20.25%. Finally, it is worth highlighting that BBSF’s total assets ended the first quarter of 2025 at $559.5 million with shareholder’s equity standing at $67.5 million.
