The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) released an update on the situation in Lebanon as of June 1, 2026. The OCHA revealed that at least 3,433 individuals were killed and 10,395 were injured since the renewed escalation of the conflict in early March. More specifically, the flash update commented that the humanitarian situation in Lebanon has worsened considerably between 29 May and 1 June 2026 as hostilities escalated. According to the OCHA, the number of airstrikes surged across southern Lebanon and has resulted in new waves of displacement, comprehensive destruction of civilian infrastructure, and has increased pressure on humanitarian services and shelter capacity. The OCHA flash update noted that between May 29 and June 1, 10 new displacement orders were issued resulting in a sharp rise in displacement levels. In figures, an estimated 133,800 out of more than 1 million individuals (35,600 families) were staying at 634 collective shelters nationwide, bearing in mind that Mount Lebanon and Beirut continued to host the largest number of individuals. The OCHA stated that several shelters across different governorates are operating at full capacity. More specifically, collective shelters in Mount Lebanon and Beirut are full, leading Lebanese authorities to consider alternative solutions such as establishing tented accommodations. In the same vein, the flash update mentioned that shelters in Tyre and Saida districts are overcrowded, leading many individuals to seek shelter in open spaces. Furthermore, the OCHA flash update stated that the North area emerged as the main welcoming area for newly displaced individuals, while the Bekaa governorate continued to host arrivals with schools being opened and prepared to serve as collective shelters. In the same vein, the OCHA noted that attacks on the healthcare sector continue to be reported, with the World Health Organization revealing that since March 2, 190 attacks resulted in 128 deaths and 332 injuries among healthcare workers, bearing in mind that five attacks were recorded between May 29 and June 1, resulting in 1 death and 19 injuries. Finally, the OCHA flash update revealed that an extended 2026 Lebanon Flash Appeal is scheduled to launch on June 5 in coordination with the Government of Lebanon to allocate more resources and scale up critical humanitarian assistance until August 31, reflecting the sharp deterioration of the humanitarian situation and the need to resolve critical funding gaps due to rising needs.
أصدر مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانيّة (OCHA) تقريراً محدّثاً عن الوضع في لبنان كما في 1 حزيران 2026. وقد كشف التقرير أنّ عدد ضحايا العدوان الأخير قد بلغ 3،433 شخصاً على الأقلّ كما وبلغ عدد الجرحى 10،395 منذ عودة التصعيدات الأمنيّة في بداية شهر آذار. وقد أوضح التقرير المحدّث أن الوضع الإنساني في لبنان قد شهد تدهوراً ملحوظاً خلال الفترة الممتدة بين 29 أيّار و1 حزيران 2026 في ظلّ تصاعد الأعمال العدائيّة. ووفقاً لمكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانيّة، إرتفعت وتيرة الغارات الجويّة في مختلف مناطق جنوب لبنان، ما أدّى إلى موجات نزوح جديدة وتدمير واسع للبنى التحتيّة المدنيّة إضافةً إلى زيادة الضغوط على الخدمات الإنسانيّة والطاقة الإستيعابيّة لمراكز الإيواء. وقد أشار التقرير المحدّث إلى أنّه تمّ إصدار 10 أوامر نزوح جديدة بين 29 أيّار و1 حزيران، الأمر الذي أدّى إلى إرتفاع حادّ في مستويات النزوح. بالأرقام، فإنّ 133،800 شخص من أصل أكثر من مليون نازح (أيّ35،600 عائلة) يقيمون في 634 مركز إيواء جماعي في مختلف أنحاء البلاد مع إستمرار محافظتيّ بيروت وجبل لبنان في إستضافة العدد الأكبر من النازحين. وقد ذكر مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانيّة أنّ عدداً كبيراً من مراكز الإيواء في مختلف المحافظات قد بلغ طاقته الاستيعابيّة القصوى. بالتفاصيل، فقد أصبحت مراكز الإيواء الجماعيّة في بيروت وجبل لبنان مكتظّة بالكامل، ما دفع السلطات اللبنانية إلى دراسة بدائل إضافيّة للإيواء كإنشاء مواقع إيواء من الخيام. وفي السياق نفسه، أشار التقرير المحدّث إلى أن مراكز الإيواء في قضائي صور وصيدا تشهد إكتظاظاً شديداً، ما إضطر العديد من النازحين إلى اللجوء إلى المساحات المفتوحة. وأضاف التقرير المحدّث أن محافظة الشمال برزت كأبرز منطقة مستقبلة للوافدين الجدد من النازحين في حين واصلت محافظة البقاع بإستيعاب المزيد من الوافدين مع العمل على تجهيز مدارس إضافيّة وتحويلها إلى مراكز إيواء جماعيّة. وقد أبلغ مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانيّة عن إستمرار الإعتداءات على مرافق الرعاية الصحيّة حيث أنّ منظّمة الصحّة العالميّة قد كشفت أنّه منذ 2 آذار، تمّ تسجيل 190 هجوماً ما أسفر عن 128 ضحيّة و332 إصابة، مع العلم أنّه تمّ تسجيل خمسة هجمات بين 29 أيّار و1 حزيران والتي أسفرت عن ضحيّة واحدة و19 إصابة. أخيراً، كشف التقرير المحدّث أنّه من المقرر إطلاق نداء عاجل جديد موسّع للبنان عن العام 2026 في 5 حزيران بالتنسيق مع الحكومة اللبنانيّة بهدف تخصيص موارد إضافيّة وتعزيز حجم المساعدات الإنسانيّة المنقذة للحياة حتى 31 آب، ما يعكس التدهور الحادّ للأوضاع الإنسانيّة ويسعى إلى معالجة فجوات التمويل الحرجة الناجمة عن تزايد الإحتياجات التمويليّة.
