The Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF) has provided an update on its allocation to Lebanon as at September 4, 2025. In details, the LHF has allocated an additional $0.15 million to Lebanon on top of the $25 million it had previously allocated to help address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the country. Said $0.15 million is considered as an “Extraordinary Reserve Allocation” and will be used to assist in the establishment of the “Community Accountability Platform” (CAP), which is an inter-agency initiative designed to improve transparency and foster greater acceptance from the affected population. With the extraordinary reserve allocation, the total allocations provided to Lebanon will sum up to $25.15 million and will target 49 projects in total. Said aid will accordingly be divided into three tranches: the first will be provided by national NGOs for a total amount of $10 million and will target 25 projects, the second will be provided by international NGOs for an amount of $15 million and will be targeting 23 projects, and the third will be provided by UN agencies for an amount of $0.15 million and will be targeting one project. The LHF noted that to date, some $21.9 million in donor contributions have been paid and pledged to Lebanon. More specifically, the largest donor contribution came from the United Kingdom ($5.5 million), followed by Canada ($3.2 million), Australia ($3.1 million), Ireland ($2.7 million), and Italy ($2.3 million) among others, as elaborated in the chart below:
